SAN ANTONIO — An officer was shot and killedwhile writing a traffic ticket outside of police headquarters late Sunday morning.
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the suspect has not yet been apprehended, and a motive is not known.
Police said the officer was pronounced dead at San Antonio Military Medical Center around 12:30 p.m. CT Sunday.
He was a 20-year veteran of the force. His name has not yet been released.
